Turkey has a crowded newspaper market with sharp political divisions, and the list below covers the mainstream dailies, the independent and digital outlets, the international broadcasters publishing in Turkish, and a large sports and technology press.

Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sabah, Posta and Türkiye are among the largest-circulation dailies. Sözcü and Cumhuriyet write from the secular opposition, BirGün and Evrensel from the left, and Yeni Şafak, Star, Akşam and Takvim from the pro-government side. Karar and Yeniçağ occupy their own positions again.

Television and agencies carry much of the online traffic: NTV, CNN Türk, Habertürk, TRT Haber, HalkTV, Tele1 and the Anadolu Ajansı news agency.

The independent digital sector is where a good deal of reporting now happens — T24, Diken, Gazete Oksijen, Medyascope, Kısa Dalga, Bianet and Artı Gerçek — with Teyit.org doing fact-checking.

Several international broadcasters publish full Turkish-language services and are widely read: BBC Türkçe, DW Türkçe, Independent Türkçe, Euronews and Amerikanin Sesi.

Football supports its own dailies in Fanatik and Fotomaç, alongside Sporx and NTVSpor. Technology is covered by Webtekno, ShiftDelete, Donanım Haber and Webrazzi.
