Switzerland Newspapers

In German, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung is the paper of record, with Tages-Anzeiger, Basler Zeitung, Berner Zeitung, Der Bund, Aargauer Zeitung, Luzerner Zeitung and St. Galler Tagblatt covering the regions. Blick and 20 Minuten lead the popular and free markets. Die Weltwoche, WOZ and the reader-funded Republik occupy very different positions in the weekly debate.

In French, Le Temps is the reference daily, alongside 24 heures, Tribune de Genève, Le Nouvelliste, La Liberté, Arc Info and Le Courrier.

In Italian, the Ticino region is served by Corriere del Ticino, La Regione and Ticinonline.

Romansh, the fourth national language, has its own broadcaster in RTR. The public broadcasting group covers all four through SRF, RTS, RSI and RTR, with Swissinfo publishing in several languages for readers abroad.

Finance is a category in its own right here: Finanz und Wirtschaft, Handelszeitung, Bilanz and Inside Paradeplatz. Several German titles are listed because they are widely read across the border.
