Swedish news divides cleanly between two morning broadsheets, two evening tabloids, a public broadcaster and a dense regional press. The list below covers each, along with a strong technology and business sector.

Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet are the national morning papers, liberal and conservative respectively. Aftonbladet and Expressen are the evening tabloids and, online, among the largest news sites in the Nordics. Göteborgs-Posten and Sydsvenskan serve the second and third cities.

SVT, Sveriges Radio and TV4 Nyheterna carry the broadcast audience, and Omni offers a summarised news feed that has become a common way to follow the day.

Business and finance are covered by Dagens Industri, Affärsvärlden, Privata Affärer and the startup title Breakit.

Regional papers remain the local record across the country: Upsala Nya Tidning, Nerikes Allehanda, Östgöta Correspondenten, Borås Tidning, Helsingborgs Dagblad, Norrbottens-Kuriren, Västerbottens-Kuriren and Östersunds-Posten among many others.

Technology is unusually well served by Ny Teknik, Computer Sweden, Sweclockers and Feber, and sport by Sportbladet and Fotbollskanalen. Most titles are in Swedish; The Local Sweden publishes in English.
