In English, The Globe and Mail and the National Post are the national dailies, with the Toronto Star the largest by circulation. CBC, CTV and Global News carry the broadcast audience. City dailies remain the local record: the Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Winnipeg Free Press, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette and Times Colonist.

In French, La Presse and Le Devoir lead the quality market, the Journal de Montréal and Journal de Québec the popular one, with Le Soleil, Le Droit and La Tribune covering the regions. Radio-Canada and TVA Nouvelles are the main broadcasters and RDS the sports channel.
