Argentina has a large and openly partisan press, and the list below spans the Buenos Aires nationals, the provincial dailies that dominate outside the capital, and a football press that rivals the news titles for readership.
Clarín and La Nación are the two largest newspapers, joined online by Infobae, which has become one of the most-read Spanish-language news sites anywhere. Página 12 writes from the left, Perfil and El Cronista cover politics and business, and Ámbito Financiero is the reference for markets and the exchange rate. Crónica and Diario Popular serve the popular end.
Television newsrooms publish continuously: Todo Noticias, C5N, A24, Canal 26 and Telefe Noticias.
The provincial press is substantial and independent of the capital. La Voz del Interior in Córdoba, La Capital in Rosario, Los Andes in Mendoza, La Gaceta in Tucumán, Río Negro and El Patagónico in the south each cover their own region in depth.
Football has its own daily culture through Olé, TyC Sports and the long-running El Gráfico. Chequeado handles fact-checking. Everything here publishes in Spanish, and most titles are free to read.
